Another Flood Relief Truck Departs for Texas Flood Relief on Sunday
Another truck picking up donations for flood victims should be arriving in La Junta and Manzanola on Sunday morning, July 20th. Its destination will be the flooded area of Central Texas. “Big Tony” of Denver will be in La Junta picking up donations again for flood victims, as there has been numerous requests from people who also want to help.
For those people who would like to donate for the flood victims may drop off their donations
at 1316 Rice in La Junta or in Manzanola, contact Vicki Bosley who will receive donations. For more information can call (719)384-2473 or in Manzanola call Vicki Bosley at 719-469-5083.
This will be the fourth truck making the trip to the flooded areas. The plan is to take the donations to Lackland Air Force Base for distribution. However, those plans may be change according to changing situations. Much of Texas has no access at this time.
The first truck of donations from Colorado went to Kerrville, Texas, which reportedly had plenty of donations at that time, so the second truck carrying donations from La Junta and Manzanola went to the flood victims in Ruidoso, NM instead. A third truck went to San Antonio staging area today (July 17th.) and now this truck #4 is coming Sunday and will go to Lackland AFB.
