The Otero County Sheriff's Office, in coordination with the La Junta Police Department, is actively seeking Ryanna Rangel in connection with a stabbing that occurred on August 2, 2025, in the 800 block of Nevada Avenue in La Junta, Colorado.

Deputies and officers responded after a male victim was located with four stab wounds and transported to Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center for treatment. The investigation revealed that Rangel was in a domestic relationship with the victim and that Rangel is a restrained party in an active protection order prohibiting her from possessing weapons.

Despite an extensive search, Rangel has not been located and is wanted for the following offenses:

Criminal Attempt (CRS 18-2-101)

Attempted Murder in the First Degree (CRS 18-3-102, F2)

Domestic Violence (CRS 18-6-800.3, Sentencing Enhancer)

Violation of Protection Order (CRS 18-6-803.5)

Rangel was last seen wearing short black shorts, and a gray sweatshirt. If located, do not approach and contact local authorities.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the victim is in good stable condition. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
