Trinidad Drug Suspect Adriana Marin Arrested in California; Nearly 5 Pounds of Narcotics Seized

Trinidad Police Report: Adriana Marin Arrested in California After Trinidad Drug Investigation; Over 4 Pounds of Meth and Fentanyl Seized

The Trinidad Police Department, in coordination with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, has concluded a narcotics investigation resulting in a warrant being issued for Adriana Marin, 42, of Trinidad.  

An investigation revealed that Marin was the intended recipient of a package, shipped to Trinidad, Colorado under a false name, which contained approximately four pounds of methamphetamine. 

A subsequent search warrant executed at her residence led to the discovery of an additional 356.8 grams of controlled substances, including significant quantities of suspected fentanyl pills and methamphetamine, along with drug distribution materials.

In total, approximately 2,160.4 grams (4.76 pounds) of controlled substances were seized between the intercepted package and Marin's residence.  

After the Trinidad Police Department obtained an arrest warrant, Marin was apprehended in California by law enforcement authorities. She has since been extradited to Colorado where she remains in custody on a $50,000.00 cash only bond.  

Marin faces multiple felony charges including three counts of Special Offender, a class 1 drug felony; Possession of controlled substances with the intent to distribute, a class 1 drug felony; Conspiracy to commit distribution of controlled substances, a class 1 drug felony; and two counts of Unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a class 4 drug felony.  

The Trinidad Police Department extends its appreciation to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation for their assistance and remains committed to disrupting illegal drug activity in our community.
