My name is Kelli Jo Brubaker. I am an Unaffiliated candidate running for Crowley County Coroner in the 2026 general election. I began my career in healthcare in 1992 starting with CNA training, followed by graduation from nursing school in 1997.

After 25+ years of various nursing jobs, I accepted an administrative position doing prior authorizations for the nations largest insurance company. I wanted to do something to keep my hands-on skills sharp so I enrolled in the EMT class at the college which was taught by Larry Reeves. Larry convinced me to add my name to the roster of Crowley County Ambulance as a driver. This is when I discovered my true passion….

Serving my community alongside my fellow first responders on the Ambulance Crew and Fire Department. I am now an Advanced EMT with Crowley County Ambulance and the EMS Education Program Coordinator at Otero College. I believe a good Coroner must be committed to serving their community with integrity and compassion to families during very difficult times. I have been inspired by the last two Coroners to serve Crowley County—Karen Tomky and Gary Gibson. Both of them have deep Crowley County roots and a heart for service. My roots run deep in Crowley County as well.

I am the 7th generation to live on our family ranch. I want to serve Crowley County—my friends, my neighbors, my community. I humbly ask for your support in the 2026 General Election.
