Obituary

Ken Bay, age 74, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026. Born November 27, 1951, in Cheraw, CO, he was the son of Elton and Darlene (Quick) Bay, both of whom predeceased him. Ken brought warmth and humor to every life he touched.

Ken, along with his wife Barb Bay, co-owned Frazee Abstract & Title Co. in Syracuse, KS. Following retirement, the couple relocated to Florissant, CO, where Ken became an EMT and contributed his time working with the local Fire Department. He was also an active member of Rocky Mountain Chapel in Cripple Creek, CO, where he and Barb dedicated many hours of service to their church community.

Ken had a passion for classic cars, regularly attending car shows across the region with Barb, both as participants and as collectors and sellers.

He is survived by his wife of over 39 years, Barb Bay; brothers Jerry (Rita) Bay and Doug (Kayla) Bay; sisters Charlene (Scott Pewitt, Carol Saine, and Barbara Pineda; brother-in-law Tom (Dot) Rogers; sons Roger (Tina) Stucky and Jerry (Kei) Johnson; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother -in-law Daniel Pineda.
