On May 8, 2026, the Lamar Police Department executed a search warrant in the 200 Block S. 8th St regarding narcotics activity.
The residence is known to officers as well as several associated individuals to be suspected of narcotics activity. Upon execution of the search warrant, numerous known individuals were located inside who have extensive law enforcement contacts.
Evidence was located and seized, indicating illegal narcotics packaging and distribution from the residence.
A firearm was also seized during the search. Two parties were initially charged regarding this case. James Douglas Rose has an extensive criminal history, including prior arrests for narcotics offenses. His brother, Rodney Rose, was also arrested for obstruction and resisting arrest during the execution of the search warrant.
