Alamosa County Traffic Stop Leads to Methamphetamine Seizure and Arrest

Description: The Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office says a May 13, 2026, traffic stop and follow-up search warrant led to the seizure of methamphetamine, U.S. currency and drug distribution materials. Anna Pacheco, 55, of Alamosa, was arrested on controlled substance charges.
Traffic stop leads to large narcotics seizure
Alamosa Co,- On May 13, 2026 the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office concluded a multi-agency narcotics investigation resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of Methamphetamine and U.S. Currency.
At approximately 1130 hours, Deputies with the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office in coordination with the Alamosa Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 500 blk of La Due Ave. Following the alert by an APD K9, Officers discovered a large amount of Methamphetamine in the vehicle.
The investigation continued and led to the execution of a search warrant near the 7000 blk of Wild Acres Ln. The execution of the search warrant yielded approximately 30 Grams of Methamphetamine, a large amount of U.S. Currency and items used to conceal, distribute and transport illicit narcotics.
One Person from the residence, Anna Pacheco (55), an Alamosa Resident, was arrested and transported to the Alamosa County Detention Center on the charges of Distribution of a Controlled Substance DF2 and Possession of a Controlled Substance DF4.
