Pueblo Police Respond to Body Found Fountain River While Assisting Aspen Acres Fire Mutual Aid Efforts

The Pueblo Police Department is currently assisting with the Aspen Acres Fire as mutual aid response.

While some of our personnel are supporting the fire needs, we remain fully committed to serving our community and respond to calls for service within the City of Pueblo. We appreciate your patience and support as we work together to keep all of our community safe.

On July 2, 2026, at approximately 5:34 p.m., the Pueblo Police Department responded to the Fountain River Near W. 13th street & I-25 regarding a body in the river. Upon arrival officers observed an individual face down in the river. There is no evidence of foul play at this time.

The identity will be released by the coroner.
