Description: The La Junta Senior Golf League held a July 7 scramble with 43 golfers, bonus putts, challenge shots, and Rob Tryon’s team winning first place with a score of 27.
The La Junta Senior Golf League met on July 7, with 43 golfers participating in a scramble format. The event featured bonus putts on all even-numbered holes (making bonus putts helped teams reduce their overall team score). A challenge chip was featured on hole #1, no one made that chip in today’s game. A challenge putt was on hole #5; Gary Armitage, Albert Davis, and Matt Perea made that putt.

During announcements Mike Bauserman and Rob Tyron were awarded cash awards for making the challenge chips last week. Rob broke a record by making two challenge chips in one round!
Next week the senior golf league will meet again on July 14. The course will be slightly modified for an interesting scramble game. Registration will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. with teams being picked at 8:45 a.m. No players can be added after this time. Play is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. Please call 719-469-0691 if you anticipate being late for registration but will be able to tee off on time.
